I lived in this apartment for almost a decade and was genuinely happy for most of that time. The location and space were great, and it truly felt like home.

Things changed under the new management. Communication declined, and policies were enforced inconsistently. From my experience, the rules seemed to be applied more harshly to people of color, which was deeply concerning.

The only reason I moved after a decade was the new management. It’s disappointing to see a place I once loved handled... this way.

The Management now is awful. They just ignore the tenant needs and treat us extremely rude. Go for a better place where you are treated well until you move out. We have been there for around 5 years and the place was convenient to reach most of the stores and school. Keep watch on school ratings and the management before deciding.

I stayed 5 plus years in the same Mount pleasant community . It was good for 2 to 3 yrs and all worries started after new people take over Leasing and maintenance.They Leased me without any renovation but charged me high rent . The bath tub was very old & slippery and asked for renovation during every Lease renewal , but they didn't do as they never mind safety of Tenants .Also they Leased the my above floor Unit without proper plumbing work completion and all washing machine outlet water... flood into my unit . No one from management visited my unit to check status and apologize for their mistake . All window AC units are old and noisy ,but they never cared to change it . we cleaned the whole Unit and returned back in good condition . As the Mount pleasant villas have no mindset to return Tenants deposit , they charged me New stove cost for changing the glass top of stove ,which is 5 yrs used and in good working condition . It just had heat stains on the glass top , but they want me to return as new so that they can use it for next Tenant . Not sure on purpose of renting property. They not even consulted me to review the audit post vacating,before deducting the deposits though I did multiple followups.

Also this Apartment gives bad feel by Dog poops everywhere and not cleaned. You will see poops in front of door steps and no steps taken by management to regulate it.

Overall the environment becomes bad in last 2 years by the current Lease management people.

We have lived at Mt. Pleasant Villas for a year now and are so sad we have to move for work! We moved into a renovated 1 bedroom and everything was so clean. The kitchen is brand new, washer and dryer in unit, 2 large closets in the second floor units, and a good amount of bathroom storage. The fitness center is decent, I wish there was more for weight lifting but it’s good for cardio. The pool is lovely and was never crowded. Leasing also answers emails super quickly and are always super... helpful. Super close to Somerville and major highways so definitely a convenient location. The further in to the complex you live, the less noise you hear from the main road. If it wasn’t for our jobs, we would have loved to renew our lease here. Read More

Nothing is wrong in here. Most of the apartment building in the NJ area are old and not well maintained but here management is doing great job and keep upgrading the apartments interior and exterior both.
Size of the master bed is big enough. Sufficient parking spaces(never seen such ample parking anywhere in NJ).

Management(Dana and then Jeff) been very cooperative and never faced any issues.

I had to move out of state else I would have continued my stay there.
