Glenrock Apartments

Seriously, try to live somewhere else. A short summary: the units and amenities are nice but management is beyond incompetent.

Like I said, the units are nice enough, and the pool and fitness room and club house are nice bonuses.

However, just getting in was an exercise in patience to say the least. 3 times I set up an appointment to view a unit and all three times the staff had left early by the time I got to the complex.

Then when we went to renew the lease (because we couldn’t find… anywhere else to live when a roommate decided to move out) they told us 4 times over the course of the month and a half leading up to the end of our first lease that they were going to be sending us the lease, but they didn’t send it until 2 days after the original lease ended, on a Friday, at 4:30, and hadn’t take on the roommate that we told them was moving out.

Maintenance has also come by twice to look at a problem with our breakers. Both times they said they’d “get back with us” and both times they did not.

The majority of the lights around the complex have been out since I have lived in this complex (on the buildings and around the dog park area). It is very uncomfortable to be outside walking your dog with no lights on in the evening. I have asked about this numerous times and I seem to get the run around. It is going on about 10 months now. Safety should definitely be more of a priority. The front office seems frustrated when I bring it up. I've never spoke to the manager because it seems like… the office staff is the only one that will actually talk to you.
There are a lot of college kids that don't seem to follow and rules regarding the time the pool, basketball court, and volleyball court close. It is loud all the time so don't live in a building near any of those things. They don't enforce any rules!
The back of the complex and the side next to the dumpsters are super dark at night, so women be careful.
There is only 1 dumpster for the entire apartment complex, so it is always overflowing which causes raccoons to be in that area digging through it.

The property looks great but not so much when things break and management is terrible to get involved or even be reached! My daughter lived there while attending UCA and the air conditioning quit in the heat of summer 2020. After a week, they finally brought a window unit but she had to sleep on the couch in order to be comfortable. It took 3 weeks to resolve the compressor because Glen Rock tried to save $ by doing it themselves.

The Manager always has her college-age staff assist with the… tenants. She NEVER gets involved or, if she makes a decision, NEVER confronts the tenants. I drove up there from Houston, TX and, while she was in her office, refused to come talk to us.

Oh, and good luck collecting your rental deposit. We vacated the lease after thoroughly cleaning and replacing everything on July 26. To date (Oct 14), we have still not received our deposit which was promised multiple times in Sept 2020. Read More

I checked this place out today and wow this place is, stunning! From the clubhouse pool apartments is absolutely gorgeous! The staff also makes you feel so welcomed. If Your looking for a nice well taken care of place to live this is it! The pictures just don't do it. Go see for yourself!
