Maintnece does their job and the staff helps when they can and does cool little thing and Yvonne and Summer help a lot too

I have lived at Ridgewood Gardens for 4 years now. I came to yvonne years ago, in distress, trying to move as a single mother with my baby. I was having some issues finding a home. Yvonne not only listened to my problem, but she acted on it. She told me not to worry, she would help me. With that, she did help me, and that is why i have been a resident here for now, 4 years. We moved to Ridgewood Gardens in 2005. Saw change of ownership, maintenance crews, office personnel and management. Watched tenants come and go; my own mother included. She passed in 2012. Moved from a two bedroom to a three bedroom. The one constant in all of this, is that I and my family are still here. Why? Because the rents are reasonable, the maintenance crew is responsive, management is friendly and professional and it's quiet. Would I recommend Ridgewood Gardens to family and friends as… a place to retire, work, go to school or even raise a family. Yes, I would. Do I plan on staying here for how ever long the Garden's is still up and running? Yes, I will; unless, of course, I won the lottery and then I'd buy it right out from under the current owner, I like it that much. My own backyard! Safety, noise level and maintenance are of high importance to me. Fancy is not. Frankly, I hope I can live here until I die.
These are older apartments (maybe built in the mid-80's?) that are solidly constructed with slump block walls. This is a single-level complex - no upstairs or downstairs neighbors. Very little noise between apartments. I have a 2-bedroom, 1-bath large apartment.
No dishwasher but the kitchen is so big that I have a portable dishwasher as well as two… cabinets and a dining table in it. All rooms are quite spacious.
We have a swimming pool but no hot tub.
The complex is very safe. Parking is in front of the door and with the differing work hours of my neighbors, there is a predictable pattern of comings and goings. Unusual cars or activities are noticeable.

Ridgewood Garden Apartments has had excellent management and high quality maintenance for the ten years that I have lived here. We recently had a change of ownership and management. The new management company kept Yvonne as the leasing specialist (she runs a tight ship - I love her). Unfortunately our outstanding maintenance supervisor, John , was not kept on so we'll see if there is any decrease in the quality and timeliness of maintenance requests. (No issues so far.) Read More
