Clutter Control

Clutter Control

How to get that clutter under control:   1.  Realize there is a problem.  Accept that there is too much going on in your household and realize there are things that need to go.  Get the trash bag ready! 2.  Lazy clutter v. memory clutter.  Lazy clutter is the junk you know you don’t need but just haven’t made the time to get rid of. Memory clutter is stuff you think you may want again someday. Tackle the easy lazy clutter first, then start making decisions about the memory clutter’s worth. 3.  Get started.  Find a day or time to make the purge and dive in.  Get rid of anything that has not been used in the past year, that doesn’t belong to you or that is plain trash! 4.  Do it again.  You’re going to need to repeat the process for each room in the house.  This will really get your clean out started.  However, then you have to move on to decided what memorable items to part with.  Don’t worry, you can do it.   Photos:  SparkyLeigh, silvercaladan, BonBonMom, and chris-clarke on flickr.com
