How to Manage All Your Piles of Paperwork

There is nothing worse than trying to do work and have to spend ten minutes looking for one piece of paper you need. This is the case for many home offices. Clutter can easily take over and make you feel helpless. One simple thing that you can do is to make a filing system for all your papers. You may think just because were in the digital age that filing systems are a thing of the past; however, all of us have paperwork and it still needs to be organized. For instance, your taxes, bills and bank statements all need to be in a place that can easily be accessed when you need them. There are two great ways you can make a filing system.
  1. Filing Cabinet
It may sound old fashioned, but filing cabinets with folders are a great way to organize your papers; whether it’s your old taxes, work documents, loan documents, etc. It’s good to have hard copy records just in case something happens to your documents stored digitally. Many retailers sell filing cabinets which can run you about $50, and come in a variety of colors sure to look good in your space.

  1. Decorative Boxes
Decorative boxes come in all shapes, colors and sizes; so you’re guaranteed to find one that will work in your space. A few things to keep in mind as you’re searching: 1) Make sure it will fit a standard 8.5×11’ paper. 2) You should buy one box more than what you need so you have room for your papers to grow. 3) Search for one that fits your style or the style of the room.
