Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

Spring is in the air – and now it’s time for spring cleaning. No one really wants to spend a day cleaning – but with a few quick tips – you’ll be done in no time. Bedroom Closet Are you looking forward to summer? It’s time to get your wardrobe ready before it gets hot outside. If you don’t have storage bins, consider purchasing large under bed storage containers. They can be found at your local retailer for a reasonable price.  Using clear containers allows you to easily view the contents inside, and they’re great for apartments with limited storage space. Move winter clothes from the closet and separate the clothes into the containers (e.g., shirts in one, pants in another). As you sort through the clothing, purge items that are worn out, stained or that no longer fit. Make sure to leave out a couple pairs of pants and sweaters if the weather turns unseasonably cold in late spring. Bathroom When cleaning the bathroom, let the cleaner soak in the toilet for several minutes before scrubbing with the toilet brush. This will make it easier to clean and minimize scrubbing efforts. Windows Instead of using store-bought glass cleaner, try making your own. Mix equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray window and wipe with newspaper – it wipes off the cleaner leaving only sparkling, streak-freeglass behind.
