Apartment Living BlogApartment Living › You Know You’re An Adult When…

John Green once wrote, “I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

However, what he should’ve said was, “I became an adult the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.” Because one minute your biggest issue in life is whether or not your crush is going to ask you to the dance and then the next moment you’re trying to remember if you paid your cellphone bill or not.

Adulting is hard. Here are some ways to tell if you’ve entered the land we call, “Adulthood.”

You have bills now. Like what? Uhhh, mom? Dad? Where you at?

When you’re sick, you don’t have your momma there to coddle you. The horror.

Updating your resume and trying to get a big kid job (someone hire me, plz).

There are new social media apps that you know nothing about.

What the heck is a Musical.ly?

I’ll be sticking with Instagram, it’s fine. I’m fine.

Remember when all you wanted to do was go out downtown with friends and get crazy? All you want now is your bed and Netflix. No shame.

Kids look at you and think you have your life together because they think you’re an adult. You’re an “old person” now. *cries internally*
