Sweet Iced Tea.
Sugar, as we all know, is not the best substance to have a lot of in your diet. Believe it or not, by getting your tea unsweetened you are really just drinking water with antioxidants! If you must have some sweetness to your tea (I’m a southern girl, I know how it goes!), try and be aware of what your sweetener is doing for you health wise. Do a little research and it will go a long way!
Regular and “Diet” Soda.
I’m not going to tell you diet sodas will give you cancer. That horse has been beaten to death and still people can’t get enough. As a recovering Diet Coke lover, I know how hard it is to give up your soda vices. From a dieting perspective, people are flocking away from regular or original sodas in favor of diet. Why? Diet “has no calories or carbs” and is therefore better for you. Here is a little information you probably didn’t know. Diet soda can drive your appetite up and make you hungrier, causing you to eat more. Even though you aren’t consuming actual calories in the drink, it can make you hungrier and tempted to eat more food.
Going cold turkey on sweet tea and soda is rough, but it’ll really pay off in the long run!
