With scorching and sizzling temperatures in Dallas, sometimes a cold craft beer can do the trick! But what exactly is craft beer? Craft beer is beer made in a traditional way by a small brewery. You can literally find several bars in Dallas with excellent selections that reach the triple digits, but these are just a handful that we recommend for great beer and a unique experience.

Off The Record

If you adore music and beer, be sure to make your way to Deep Ellum to Off The Record. This bar is a record shop by day where you can find some of the best selections to add to your vinyl collection and a hopping bar at night especially on the weekends with live music. Not only do they have great beer, but there are cocktails to choose from as well. There’s even a patio out back to get some fresh air and chill vibes.

Bishop Cider Co. & Cidercade

While cider and beer differ in several ways, they do have fermentation in common and many can’t seem to differentiate especially with cider being incorporated more frequently in beer. In the heart of the Bishop Arts District is the brewery and tasting room for Bishop Cider Co. with their unique flavors including past ciders, Peach Pecobbler and Cinnamango.

With only a fifteen-minute drive, the fun and hard ciders combine for an adult gaming experience at Bishop Cidercade that will take you back to your childhood! Cidercade has more than over 125 new and retro multi-player gaming options which makes this spot perfect for hanging out with friends and letting loose. Admission for all-you-can-play games is $10 per day, but if you’re a frequent gamer, you can pay $20 for an entire month.

Deep Ellum Brewing Company

For the foodie at heart, swing by Deep Ellum Brewing Company. With a neighborhood vibe, this spot serves their very own craft beers which you can also find at bars across the Dallas metroplex and a deliciously curated affordable menu to pair. Tours of the brewery are also offered every Saturday at 1PM and 2PM for $15 per person which includes 3 beers and a take-home pint glass. Live music sets the vibes of this brewery with local bands.

LUCK at Trinity Groves

Another beer-goer’s favorite is just across the Margaret Hunt-Hill Bridge at Trinity Groves where you will find several restaurants and an excellent view of downtown Dallas. Fine dining experience and a selection of over 140 beers? Say no more! The Meddlesome Moth on Oak Lawn in the Design District offers upscale dining with local to international beer options. This spot is casual, but great for date nights, birthdays and anniversaries. If you’re seeking food pairings other than the typical American cuisine like burgers and fries, this spot has unique and eclectic gastropub dishes. Meddlesome Moth also serves brunch on Saturday and Sundays.
