Apartment Living BlogFood & Entertaining › Most Romantic Spots in Dallas

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and spring is near! Love is blossoming, so you might be looking for unique date night ideas and proposal spots. We’ve pulled some of our favorites to help you with your upcoming plans. Don’t have a date? No worries! We have some ideas on you how you can make these Dallas outings fun with friends, too.

Surrounded by Blossoms | Dallas Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum is a golden spot for events, photoshoot sessions, dinner dates and proposals. The best times to visit are in the spring when the flowers begin to bloom and the weather is beautiful. The scenery makes the perfect floral backdrop for photos with your significant other whether you’re simply going on a romantic stroll or are popping “the question”.

With Friends: Dress up for brunch or lunch at Restaurant DeGolyer over mimosas. Afterwards, take advantage of the scenery with a fun photoshoot together! There’s plenty of space to let loose and get the perfect shots to capture a perfect afternoon.

Restaurant DeGolyer is open from 11AM-3PM daily.

On The Water | Private Gondola on Mandalay Canal

Book a private gondola on Mandalay Canal in Irving which is just a 20 minute drive from the heart of Dallas. Cruise the canal with plenty of options to enhance your experience.
Choose from a classic, appetizer, breakfast, lunch, dinner (gourmet or exquisite) or dessert tour. This is the perfect way to watch the colors of a Dallas sunset reflecting on the water sealed with a kiss.

With Friends: Divide the cost of a gondola dinner cruise with friends and enjoy the serene experience together! It totally beats chatting over dinner is a noisy restaurant.

Hours to book a private gondola vary based on the service.

Nestled in Uptown | Chocolate Secrets Tasting

There’s nothing more romantic than indulging in the ultimate aphrodisiac, chocolate, and pairing with an exquisite bottle of wine. Chocolate Secrets is tucked in Uptown on Oak Lawn where some of the most beautiful and delicious chocolates are served. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with macarons, pastries, and ice cream. Wine and chocolate pairings include three wine selections and two chocolate pairings per wine for $40 per person.

Under the Lights | Downtown Horse Carriage

Take in the city lights at night in a horse-drawn carriage snuggled with your significant other. Steal a kiss as you take the scenic, historic routes through downtown Dallas. If you’re into the history of Dallas, you can go on the “historical tour” or opt for the “romantic ride” minus the commentary of the driver so you can enjoy every moment. Want to dine and customize your ride for a special night? Choose the Grand Tour where passengers are allowed to bring their favorite beverage or food basket and customize the route.

With Friends: Perhaps a horse carriage for two isn’t the way to go, so try booking a limousine instead! Pop a bottle of champagne, make stops at NorthPark Center for shopping or the Spa Adolphus, Arrange for a stay in a chic boutique hotel overnight where you’re whisked to NorthPark Center for light shopping or a restaurant. At night, pop a bottle of champagne and ask the driver open the sunroof if it’s not too cold for a better view of the city lights!

Hours: Vary by company
