Style a New Year’s Eve Tablescape

Style a New Year’s Eve Tablescape

It’s time to raise a glass and ring in the new year in style! Avoid the cold, crowds and over-the-top prices by hosting your own small gathering right at home. I’m here to show you how to style a knock-their-heels-off tablescape with just a few simple steps. Whether you enjoy just having pizza or prefer a fancy cooked meal, serving it on a festive tablescape makes it truly a party to remember. New Years Eve Tablescape gold white Start with a solid white table covering. The clean white base will allow the décor to really pop out! Next, pick your color scheme. For New Year’s Eve, metallic is in! Try selecting gold, silver, black or any combination of the above. I chose gold to pair with the white. New Years Eve Tablescape place setting Gold-striped party plates prove that even paper plates can be chic, and they make clean up a breeze. Look for festive patterns at party and craft shops. Pair with gold flatware and top each plate with a simple little favor. Look for clock-themed ornaments on holiday discount and adorn with a bow for the perfect take-home for your friends! If you have trouble finding a clock ornament, fill a bag with chocolates and attach a label that reads, “Here’s to a sweet new year!” It’s the little touches that really make a big impact! New Years Eve Tablescape party favors Top simple, white napkins with inexpensive gold party horns for some midnight fun! Serve up individual mini champagne bottles at each place setting. Don’t forget confetti, a NYE staple. Scatter gold confetti throughout the table for a sparkling touch. You can even fill little bags of confetti for guests to toss at midnight with their toast of bubbly! New Years Eve Tablescape centerpiece Keep the centerpiece right on point with clock sugar cookies (tap into your inner Betty Crocker or purchase them from The Baked Equation). Other cookie ideas include 2015 cookies and champagne bottles. Fill a decorative box or even a clear vase with tinsel filler, party horns, cookies and other “clock” details. Let guests help themselves to the fun! New Years Eve Tablescape place card Make each of your guests feel extra special with a personalized place card. Folded white paper with a decorative detail (like bows from gold glitter paper) add that customized element to your tablescape. You could even use gift tags around the mini champagne bottles for place cards. Add in a few or even all of these tablescape details to style a New Year’s Eve you’ll never forget. So here’s to ringing in the new year with good friends, good food and a fabulous at-home party! Looking for a mix and mingle New Year’s Eve party style?
