If it’s the weekend, chances are high you’ll be having brunch. And Phoenix is teeming with great spots for everyone’s favorite midday meal. From a high-end resort’s very Southwestern brunch to a legendary Bloody Mary bar featuring more than 40 craft toppings, check out these five top brunch spots in the Valley of the Sun.

Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn

Phoenix is a resort town. And one of the best spots for brunch? The boutique Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn in Phoenix. This quaint, tucked away resort that was once a former home feels very Southwest —with brown buildings and turquoise accents throughout— and Lon’s is known for its stellar cuisine. The brunch menu features everything from huevos rancheros to short rib hash. Salads and small menu items like warm soft pretzel sticks and blue crab cakes round out the brunch menu. Diners also can enjoy drinks like prickly bourbon —bourbon, prickly pear and lemon— for a true taste of the Southwest.

Scottsdale’s SumoMaya serves Mexican and Asian-fusion cuisine and is widely known for serving one of the best brunches in the entire Valley. This might have something to do with the fact that brunch (and for an extra $10, drinks like Bloody Marys, margaritas, mimosas, Micheladas, and draft beer) are all bottomless. Yes, you read that right. For $29, you can get unlimited shared plates and choice of one entrée. Feast on the likes of unlimited sushi rolls, Mexican sweet breads, and the very-Southwestern pomegranate guacamole. Pick from entrées including traditional brunch plates like eggs Benedict, frittatas, and waffles alongside fusion food like pad Thai and a Cuban breakfast sandwich.

Local craft beer hot spot O.H.S.O. is renowned for having one of the most fun brunch spots around. If you’ve got a dog, leash him or her up and enjoy complimentary dog biscuits on the patio at one of this brewery’s three locations. Try the Fruity Pebble French toast for a sweet entrée or enjoy the O.H.S.O. classic featuring scrambled eggs, bacon, potato hash and sourdough toast. if you’re in the mood for more traditional brunch fare. The weekend beer brunch also includes a 10-ounce Arizona beer and a mimosa too.

Hash Kitchen

Anyone who brunches regularly knows that good Bloody Marys can make or break the meal. And the Bloody Marys at Hash Kitchen, with two locations in Scottsdale, are near-legendary in Phoenix. For starters, the bar offers more than 40 craft toppings like bacon, hard boiled eggs and mozzarella sticks so you can create the ultimate Bloody Mary. Pair your drink with entrees like the cannoli pancakes —ricotta and cinnamon pancakes with a sweetened ricotta and chocolate chip cream, powdered sugar and topped with maraschino cherries— scrambles, eggs Benedict, waffles and signature specialties like Breakfast Lasagna complete with layered pasta, ragu, bacon, hash potatoes, ricotta, mozzarella, fried egg and béchamel.
