Apartment Living BlogApartment Tips › Papers Required for Apartment Renting

What papers are requirements to rent an apartment ? I will move to Orlando and work there.

While the rental application process may be different from community to community (and the application fees will vary, too), there are some things that most landlords want to know about you. They will require documentation that will show that you can afford to pay the rent (income verification); they will want to know that you will be likely to pay the rent (credit check); they will want to know that you have not caused problems for other landlords (rental or housing history); and they want to know that you are not a bad guy or gal (criminal background check).  It can take at least a few days for all of this information to be obtained.  If you go to ForRent.com and research some apartment communities, you will likely find some applications online.  You could look at these to see what these type of applications generally look like.
