Do a thorough inspection. They will force you to sign before properly inspecting it. There is mold and old carpet. The upkeep from the outside is good and the request are pretty good too. They need to update all these apartments. Some are updated and some are not.

Great community, lots of kids BUT unusually quiet. Close to grocery stories, Restaurants & Down town night light. Pet Friendly. Newly remodeled pool areas with spas, club house, fitness center and propane BBQ pits for the residents to use. All in all a great place to live.

My daughter had to come to Bakersfield for a clinical practice rotation. She is a graduate student at Northwestern in Chicago. I moved out to Balersfield with her to get her settled in for the first few weeks of the rotation. We found Whispering Meadows on line, one of the only apartments fully furnished. The staff at Whispering Meadows were so helpful from the first phone call for info on day one. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Provided new towels, pillows, mattress pads,... comforter sets etc. Kitchen well stocked with all necessary cooking supplies. Washer and dryer in apt were so convenient. Staff were available to answer all requests/ questions etc and very friendly. We had a minor issue with fruit flies? and exterminator was sent in within a day or two. I would not hesitate to recommend Whispering Meadows to anyone needing a furnished apt.
