Touchwood & Del Mar Apartments

Okay so there are 2 buildings next to each other, this is why there are 2 names. I lived on the Del Mar side. While we did not experience roaches, there was enough black mold to keep myself and my family constantly sick. Towards the end of my stay I had incapacitating migraines, a really bad cough and would often wake up in the middle of the night choking. My Husband and children experienced the same symptoms. Complained, nothing was done. The window in the bathroom had so much mold that it... began separating from the wall. After speaking to other tenants, we found that they were experiencing the same problem. One of which had only moved in for about a month. They were also lied to saying that they were the only ones with the mold.

There are multiple men who hang out in the front and do drugs as well as get drunk. They are there daily as the kids come home from school all the way into the early morning often. They also sell drugs. Periodically the police make them move, and they will be gone for a while but the return rather quickly.

The window in my master bedroom would not open. Never did get that thing opened in a whole year. The air conditioner is in the master bedroom, the wall heater is in the living room and due to the lack of proper insulation, you feel all weather outside, inside. It will be smoldering in every room except the master bedroom, and cold during winter in every room except the living room so I hope you enjoy family time...

Now for the electrical, you can not run the air conditioner and anything else at the same time or it will shut off. Majority of the outlets do not work. So during summer I hope you like spending your time reflecting on why theyve raised the rent twice in one year, and you are arm to arm with your family because the air conditioner is only in one room and you guys cant even enjoy a movie together. No matter how many times they spray for roaches they don't die..spider infested and huge rats by the dumpster which is close to my apt. The smell of the dumperys is really bad. Can't open the windows because of the dumperys smell....I have complained to the managers all she days I'll take care of it and nothing is ever done ...when they spray for roaches they never die...in the middle section walkway it is always flooded of water manager has been told a out it nothing is never done about...she... dose nothing to help us renter but to walk around smoking while there is a sign saying no smoking
Concern renter if the place being so dirty ,smells really bad, an old man peeing by bushes sick in sanitary place to live

Always infested of roaches & spiders in the walk way & bushes, every morning water flood through the walk way. Bad smell of urine, and poop, in the bushes in the center of apartment.... manager looks like she is always in a bad mood can't ask tell her or ask her anything...because all she dose us ignore us.....everyone in these apartments complains about the roaches nothing is done them.

It's true, there are roaches and the guys mentioned in one of the reviews were there almost every evening. They smoke and drink, but are harmless. The apartments are hastily made available for the next renter and I could smell the smoke of my downstairs neighbor from under my kitchen sink. There's no smoking allowed in the complex, only inside our own place. There were two grills in the pool area but one had been out of commission most of the summer. The surrounding area is dirty and run down,... the apartments themselves are old, but the rent is cheap. Other pros: pet friendly, on-site laundry, and one parking spot. At the apartment entrance gate there some bushes and a huge tree that is infested of spiders and bugs and I ended up got bitten on my neck and arm, the manager was told about the spiders.....and yet the tree and ugly bushes are still over the entrance gate..
Infested with spider....
