North Berkeley Student Housing
So, I attend a private graduate school in North Berkeley and the student housing is ancient but decent. The building is well maintained and has the proper safety measures in place: fire extinguisher, alarms, locks and such. The problem is that the plumbing is extremely old and this limits the water pressure. Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of soaking in a tub unless I want a cold bath. The hot water pressure is extremely low and cannot be fixed without an extreme cost. The rooms are a... nice size with plenty of windows. The lighting is adequate as is, but I've had to add more because it's not enough in my study areas. The inside maintenance is a fictional promise as indicated by the cobwebs and debris in the lobby and front porch. Outside of the annoying water pressure and lack of lobby maintenance, the apartment has charm and is unique and quite spacious. The neighborhood is safe and mostly quiet, and the view from my bedroom window is quite breath taking at times. It is not a luxury accommodation but it is by any means no dump. I got it kinda good for student housing.
