Aquatic Shattuck

This company never fails to disappoint me. Every 2-3 months, new issues arise. This month as of March 2026, they charged me and all other tenants a "Water Meter Audit Fee" of $154 out of the blue. There was no breakdown of the fee, and SG real estate sent an extremely shady letter saying that a recent issue was identified with the building's water meters, and now they're just charging all of us this fee. This place is a scam. The unit is not as pictured. After living here for only a few weeks there have been consistent, non stop issues with the unit. None of the appliances work. I found cockroaches on my first day of move in. The agents and staff I've interacted with are incredibly rude and condescending. They don't care about tenants.

The community members are kind and helpful though the location is a little bit inconvenient from the U.C. campus.

I have only been living in Aquatic Shattuck for two weeks but so far I am enjoying in. The room does look smaller than what I was expecting but it was clean, and felt like a brand-new unit. The location is also quite nice, not really in the center of the town/school area so not as crowded. Although there is no parking space available in the building, there are plenty of street parking that I need no worry. Overall I am enjoying my time in my apartment :)
