Don'd do it unless you love Roaches and other pests
At a glance- the courtyard is a poorly covered up pool that must be the reason that the entire building is infested with german cockroaches. (Infested meaning they are EVERYWHERE! in the ceiling, walls, outlets, furniture, everywhere!) Love the furniture you moved in with?? Forget ever taking it with you, it will be home to pests that no amount of soaking in pesticide will ever get rid of. Your a clean person? Doesn't matter, bleach every day and leave not one dirty dish or drop of water; your... new found house guests are not that easily deterred. You might even wake up with one in your ear! which has happened to many current and past residents (hope you have good insurance).
The management is unresponsive and cold. Your security deposit will be held for no reason to only be given back at threat of bringing in legal action. Rules and regulations are constantly changing at their will. Screaming neighbors vibrating through the courtyard at all hours. (granted this last issue is the one and only non management related issue)
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! It may sound like a good bargain in this more than harsh time, but its a trap, a horrible horrible 12 month trap. Those of us that get out even have a little club. The Tropicana survivors, we share stories of the struggles we faced and how we each managed to lose everything we owned (couches, beds, family heirlooms) just to make sure past stayed in the past and the pests stayed the heck out of our lives.
