Towing Problem

This company's towing policy is haphazard at best, carting off residents' vehicles without any notice whatsoever. As a resident, I have had two friends (including myself), who have parked in the Oakwood Apartment Complex lot for almost a year, only to one day find their car is missing (without a call or note from the main office). The company refuses to own up to their mistakes, finding any way possible to blame the resident in order to get out of paying the exorbitant fee to retrieve the… vehicle. The Timbers have little to no communication with their security team and do not wish to establish any in the near future, as the towing company that they work with racks up 180 bucks per car that they tow. I have lived here for over a year now, and this upcoming year will be my last. (be warned)

Good for what you pay for

i was searching for an apartment in Chico because the amount of money that the school wants for living in the dorms is crazy expensive. At the timbers, specifically village at the timbers, the leasing staff are happy to answer any questions you have and will take you through anything that you need to go through. For example, I have never payed rent before because I just moved out of my moms house, and so I come into there office and ask them about it, they then go to explain all the different… ways I can pay rent, and the best ways to do it. They even offered to show me how to write the check. They have Friday continental breakfasts, coffee made every morning, a mini gym,, and a lounge area with a pool table and bunch of games and seats and cool artwork hanging around. Plus, it's only a 5 minute bike ride to CSU Chico! The only problem I've had while living here though, is that there is a humming noise which is quite loud and keeps me up during half the nights so far. Other than that one bad note, they have been an awesome team, and yea, come see for yourself!!!

Why I chose The Timbers

One of the best apartments close to campus! What really hooked me into staying here was the washer and dryers in every apartment. No more sharing or getting quarters! Not only that but both are brand new washer and dryers that work great. room sizes are decent and the kitchen has some great counter space as well. I definitely recommend!

The Timbers!

This apartment complex is amazing! People are very friendly and the staff is extremely helpful! They organize a lot of events so you feel like you’re a part of a community. It’s also located extremely close CSU Chico. It’s about a 10 min walk so you never feel like you’ll be late to class. Along with the school campus Safeway and several restaurants are nearby too! Overall id say the timbers is a great place and affordable!

The Timbers complex

This will be my second year living at this apartment complex. They offer plenty of amenities for their residents such as free printing, computer lab usage, work out room, great pool area, free breakfast on fridays during the school year, and designated visitor parking spaces. Looking for a place to live after the dorms was a bit of a struggle but once I found The Timbers, I was sold. Not to mention they have a very professional and courteous leasing staff as well. Overall, you get your bang for… your buck if you choose to live here! It's home away from home.
