Casa Monterrey Apartments

Found the staff to be very unresponsive. Took 3 phone calls and I still had visit to get my credit check answer. My credit isn't the best (I admit) but they were very quick to say no once I claimed I had an Emotional Support Pet (dogs) and they were out their $750 extra $100 per month. If you have an ESP, save that information until you are approved. They claim no but I really believe Carla put the nix on the app once she heard that. Her whole demeanor changed. Just my observation.
Also.… .. There is some carport issue they are having with tenants. I spoke with 3 different tenants and all go thumbs down regarding Casa Monterrey.

I've lived here since February and at first it was oddly quiet which took some getting used to. The inside of the apartments are beautiful! Granite counter tops, I love the sink in the hallway and being outside of the actual bathroom. The bedrooms are pretty big and the living rooms are huge! I live downstairs so I have a back patio where I'm growing vegetables which I love. On the downside, their gym is awful its way too small and there's not enough equipment or machines to use. Only one bike… and one treadmill ?? and the second pool area with the jacuzzi doesn't have any umbrellas or enough tables, and it would be even better if they put cabanas out there with lights. I have lived in apartments for 9 years now since I divorced. I have had many issues and I finally found one that I can't find one thing to complain about. I live close to the laundry room which is cleaned every morning. I have a pool nearby and it is nice and quiet. Landscaping is done weekly or maybe even twice a week. I have never had problems with parking for visitors which is nice since we have a new baby and family comes by weekly. Property management is friendly and very helpful. Neighbors… are friendly and courteous. I live 5 minutes from bolsa chica state beach and 10 min from Huntington Beach. I really don't know what else I'd want from a comfortable apartment home. This apartment complex is great. First off the grounds are kept up, at the beginning of the week landscapers are always here cutting grass and picking up the leaves and what not. At least once a month sweepers come thru and clean the parking lot. The pools are great and kept clean. I do hate that they put "pet clean up stations" right outside the bedroom windows on our section because people now bring their pets to do their business in our little yard area, so no more keeping bedroom windows… open unless you want to smell doggie business. The car port parking has a rather large storage that is lockable. Love that! The apartment has a very beautiful kitchen update. Theres LOTS of cabinet space!! In addition to two sliding door closets, there is linen storage a locked storage closet on the patio/deck, as well as a large storage closet right as you walk in the apt. The fireplace is nice, however it does not put off much heat during the winter. If you live on a second floor...beware....the apartment gets super hot in the summer. Invest in fans! Running the a/c runs the power bill way up. Maintenance is pretty quick at getting anything fixed and the folks at the office are super nice.
