So, I just applied to this apt yesterday. I explained to the manager that I have poor credit. I also have student loans. She told me the owner could waive the credit, if I had a good income. Which I did. She collected m
$35 for credit check. It was suppose to be $40. Next day,she called me saying I should bring her $5 that I owe. I said ok cool I will bring it. I asked her if she checked my credit. She said No. She will check it as soon as I pay the $5. Well Thank God, for credit Karma. I got an... alert for a hard inquiry on my credit report. And my score dropped 100 points below as a result of this hard inquiry. I asked the manager again, if she checked my credit. She said NO. I called saferent, they said she did.checked my report. I texted her to tell me the truth. She finally admitted that she did checked my credit. So now, no apartment, and I have to deal with a hard inquiry on my report for 2-years. Hurts me she lied to me.
