About Vistas Del Puerto - Income Restricted Apartments
Vistas del Puerto is 48 unit apartment building. 23 units are set aside for regular income qualified affordable households: 2 – one bedroom units, 10 – two bedroom units and 11 – three bedroom units.
Located at 1836 Locust Avenue, in the City of... Long Beach, this housing offered does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity and expression, family status, national origin, marital status, ancestry, age, sex orientation, disability, source of income, genetic information, arbitrary characteristics, or any other basis prohibited by law.
Vistas del Puerto will provide 48 apartment homes, including 47 affordable for households earning between 30 percent and 50 percent of the area median income and one manager’s apartment. Half of the apartments will be reserved for households that are frequent utilizers of the Department of Health Services (DHS), including people with chronic health conditions and those who have experienced homelessness. The remaining apartments will be designated for large families.
The apartment complex will feature large community spaces, on-site parking, secured pedestrian entry, management and support service offices, bike storage, a bike lounge, edible garden planters, a community room complete with a kitchen, an outdoor courtyard, and on-site laundry. It will be developed to meet Green Point Gold environmental standards using energy efficient and sustainable features. Apartment amenities will include a full kitchen, heating and air conditioning. Apartments reserved for DHS clients will be fully furnished.
The site is close walking distance to a grocery store, pharmacy, schools, public library, medical clinic, and public transit, including the Metro Blue Line and Long Beach Transit bus stops. The site is also in close proximity to Mental Health America of Los Angeles’ Integrated Service Center.
