Health hazards and safety concerns
The place is poorly insulated, and there's no proper ventilation, making it difficult to keep the apartment at a comfortable temperature. On top of that, the building has a major roach infestation, and I've even find mold in places. The windows are poorly made and haven't been maintained, and the blinds are so tightly screwed in that you can't even remove them to clean. There's also no air conditioning, which makes the small apartment feel even more cramped and uncomfortable.
But what's even... worse is the safety and cleanliness of the building. There are constant issues with homeless people entering the building, loitering, and even engaging in illegal activities like selling drugs -- doors are often left broken, and I've seen fights break out on the property. The stairways are filthy and have been unsafe, with broken drug paraphernalia and other debris. I even had to file a complaint to upper management to get them to clean up and that only happened because of an upcoming health inspection.
When I brought up these concerns with the management, the response was less than helpful she even told me the only way to resolve the issues was to move and nothing is in her control and that there is no rules in this apartment. She told me that things like cleaning the windows or removing the blinds were my responsibility, even though the blinds are drilled in so tightly that it's physically impossible. I even considered having the windows cleaned professionally, but the cost was unreasonable.
Overall, the building is poorly maintained, unsafe, and uncomfortable to live in. For the price
elevators does not have any cameras, recreation room and stairways have no cameras. The elevators do not have a security lock for trespassers but this building is like Gotham City.
