Honest experience

Decent space for 1 or 2 people, safe location and secure building. Decently responsive property management. Overall I would not recommend however due to the persistent mold and moisture issues I faced during the year I leased here. Management attempted to show care, however no compensation for my damaged items were offered, a dehumidifier was offered and never given, A/C was installed nearly 6 months after the problem began. Also termites were found in the unit causing multiple leaks during the… rain, and the solution (prior to discovering termites as the cause) was to place a bucket under the leak for weeks before returning to just re-caulk the area (quick fix rather than properly repairing). Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place but for the price/location it fit my needs at the time.

THIS BUILDING WAS MY HOME FOR YEARS

I am a former resident of this building. I lived in an upstairs apartment on the side that faces west.
PROS:The space is adequate for one person and the units have been remodeled to include a small kitchen. It’s a nice neighborhood, close to the CBS studios, shopping, and museums. The building is rent-controlled.
CONS: Street parking only. (I got a number of tickets on street sweeping days.)You’ll need to do laundry elsewhere, as laundry facilities are inadequate for a 20 unit building. There… is heavy traffic noise until nighttime. There’s no elevator, so bear in mind that groceries, etc. will need to be lugged up the stairs if you live on the second floor. There’s not much of a view.
MY OVERALL RATING is 4 stars. It’s a bit small for the price, but location is everything. The neighborhood is pretty safe and you must be buzzed into the building.
