I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior I experienced from the maintenance staff member who recently came to fix my lock. When I tried to speak with him, he shut the front door in my face mid-conversation, which was incredibly rude. Prior to his arrival, he had called me, but when I answered, he said nothing and never called back. I even reached out to the concierge to follow up, but I never heard back from anyone.
What made this... experience especially concerning was his attitude. He claimed that a malfunctioning front door lock wasn’t an emergency. In my perspective, especially considering the recent incidents in the LA metro area involving intrusions into unlocked homes and fatal outcomes, safety and security are non-negotiable. His dismissive response and statement that I “didn’t know what I was talking about” were both unprofessional and deeply disappointing.
While the repair was ultimately completed, the attitude and treatment I received left a lasting negative impression. Frankly, I would have rather paid someone out of pocket who could not only do the job but also treat me with basic respect and courtesy.
Not sure if there has been a change in management, as I’ve lived here the last 3 years but lately there have been multiple days where no responses have been given and it’s unprofessional and disappointing.
