Close to food and fun, far from great
I consider myself lucky finding this apartment simply because of the reasonable price as well as it's close proximity anything I would want to do. Food nearby is amazing, and I find myself going out to eat all the time just due to the sheer convenience of it. There are bars close by, and the Getty Museum is literally a 10 minute drive away. I can get to Santa Monica using the bus or just drive a short 15 minutes away. UCLA is close, and many of the people living in this building are students.... The landlady is easy to work with and rent is fair. However, this apartment building does have its drawbacks. Each apartment has to share a tandem parking lot, and only gets one spot each. For my roommates and I, who have two cars total, parking can become quite a hassle. Coordinating with the neighbor to get my car out in the morning when I'm running late to work can be annoying. Street parking can be an absolute headache, especially when there is street cleaning. The inside of the apartment is alright, not too small and usually not too noisy. The laundry room is another drawback, with only one washer and dryer shared by the whole complex. While these are all annoyances that I have found, in the grand scheme of things they have never been bad enough for me to regret moving to this wonderful area.
