Pot Headery

As I said, pot heads are now prevalent. The diversity of tenants has changed. Maintenance is pretty good. The constant inspections are annoying but necessary. Did I mention the now prevalence of pot heads? It's like pot head hotel. It's a battle to get the manager and Abode staff to do anything until you confirm who it is, which isn't easy. I wish parking along 17th had permit for tenants with designated spots, illegals tend to use it to store oil leaking vans and street burrito hotdog cart... equipment. I'm surprised that by now, 20 years on from when the Young was restored that they never in that time, requested permit parking along 17th and across the street where there are no parking from 8 to 5PM signs. Signs which were meant for Abram Friedman Occupational Center to park their SCHOOL BUSES in the early to mid 90s and for the last 15 to 18 years HAVE NOT EVER USED IT. If cars parked there they wouldn't block traffic flow. Expect to pay $100 for gated parking, granted with security, across the street at Venice and Grand Tortilla Factory LOGO Joe's Parking. Which I KNOW won't activate or place a badge door opener thing at the door across the street. SO we, the ones who park there due to everyone fighting for parking, have to walk around and UP and around the parking structure, which incidentally is starting to show severe signs of wear and age. No management company has cleaned it up, maintained it well, it's practically falling apart and oh, another thing... careful driving walking up and down the parking structure, Honda, Toyota "salesman" tend to race the new cars UP AND DOWN at extreme speeds, always look both ways when walking, driving at the Venice and Grand parking structure. Ralphs is close, a good walk, so are RiteAid, other retail places but expect it to be a real good walk into DTLA from South Park. Convention Center and Nokia are walking distance, never have to pay for parking, which is cool. Trade Tech with it's amazing new buildings... that seem to be melting, but contain the same burnt out teachers... uhm... Metro is a walk away. Pot head dispensaries are everywhere... don't make friends with the homeless, they are junky-cons who will hustle you once you say hi to them once... always look around, avoid thuggies... watch high strung frustrated DTLA drivers during rush hour... there is freeway noise you will have to pretend is ocean waves if you live on the south side of the apartment building. Yes, thuggie homies tend to rev up their cars.
