Turing at The Fields

We have been greatly enjoying our stay at Turing at the Fields – from the building construction, apartment design, nice surroundings, amenities, the closeness to all kinds of stores and services that meet our needs, its services to residents, etc.

However, the one thing that we love the most is the quality people of the leasing office that have been in contact with us since our first visit to the Turing facilities – who are more interested in searching and looking for solutions to the… clients’ needs rather than just reciting what Turing has to offer. This operational culture translates into an efficient way of providing the precise and prompt response to the unexpected situations or special needs of its residents. This is a big behavioral difference from the personnel in the many other apartment complexes that we visited in our search for the right apartment for us to live.

Do not rent here! The walls and ceilings are paper thin.
A person walking in the above apartment will cause an earthquake in your apartment.
A decent apartment building will have less number of floors in the same building height to have sufficient space between floors but not this one.
I believe I now know the routine of the people above me. When they wake up. When they cook. When they sleep. Pretty interesting research.

The property management has been pretty ineffective in managing facilities and bad-actor residents. To be fair, some in management have been terrific. And we've had prompt attention from Maintenance in our apartment. That said there are some persistent issues that keep this from being a superior choice for some people.

I'll limit this review to one example to be concrete: Several times a week since we moved in 18 months ago, we have to face smelly trash plunked right down on the floor in front… of the trash chutes and lining the walls. I find that the trash chutes are usually clear or maybe needing a nudge. So some neighbors just drop the trash and leave. Many residents (myself included) have posted about this issue with photos, called, and spoke in person. Rather than implementing reasonable things like signage or contacting offending owners (addresses are usually visible on the exposed trash), management decided to penalize the rest of us by tripling our trash bills over the last 3 months.

But there is more, much more - perhaps we'll cover that in another review.

If you come, you will see that the place looks beautiful. You will not get to see what living here is really like.

It's way overpriced compared to other beautiful places nearby. Seriously I recommend you pass on this place until there is more effective management. Read More

The only thing Luxury about Turing is the price. I have lived at Turing for over a year, before covid started and my major issues are:

- Many instances of car break ins. (Smashed windows, stolen property)
- Many stolen packages from the mailroom. (Mismanagement of mailroom in general)

There is not enough security and the few security guards do not seem competent.

Also noise is a common problem. Footsteps can often be heard from upstairs neighbors.

The overall aesthetic and amenities are nice… , however, during covid when many of the amenities are closed it does not make much of a difference.
The staff is also pretty friendly and helpful when you do get a hold of them. Read More
