Do you miss living with your strict parents?
Sooo here we go.. I moved in a year ago and out of the blue I get a note on my door about some random inspection by the city. The note is very vague just saying inspection will be conducted NO SPECIFICS I ask the manager and she said they'll be inspecting for cracks, leaks, smoke detector etc. So the guy comes in with some pointing stick looking all around.. then he stops at my brand new extension cord I'd purchased from the CVS conveniently located on the corner, he says I can't have my... extension cord. I was confused because there was only one thing plugged into it and there was nothing stating what kind of extension cords you could buy and use in the lease. He proceeded to write me a violation noting that I had extension cords "ALL OVER THE APARTMENT" the manager standing there witnessing the whole ordeal just goes along with it & 30 days later he actually comes back (same guy) like I'm a CHILD or something. Then just recently Moss and Company has decided to add a 6month inspection to the routine which of you're lucky you'll get 3-4 days to prepare for where the tell you they WILL come in and inspect.. not if you won't be home we'll reschedule but they're coming whether you like it or not. As a military veteran this brings up a lot of unpleasant memories for me. After speaking with moss and company myself after the first incident & them returning my concern with a thereat of a fine it's clear that this company doesn't care about tenant privacy .. also if you're lucky enough to have a balcony you'd have to clean it b4 one of these inspections Because they will be taking pictures of your balcony .. so yea it's pretty but is it worth it?
