Delmonico Apartments

Moved in and killed 6 roaches on the first floor of my town house the same day. Moved out the next day.

Worst thing is that the company refused to collaborate on resolving the issue - i was coming from outside the country, spent over $1000 extra urgently renting the airbnb for my wife and two little kids, public storage space etc and they just said it is not their business.

Well the manager keeps the place looking good from outside... Althogh its worst from inside.. Manager might know each tenant by name but it hardly helps with anything as maintenance comes only once a week.. They talk rosy rosy during start of lease but mind you thats not the case. .. Warning for future tenants - DONOT RENT HERE.. BIG RISK NON COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT.

I've lived here for over 3 years going on to my 4th and final year.

First off the property looks well kept and lush with greenery. The layout of the complex flows in an organic way throughout and the apartments, two stories, have an aesthetic appeal. The laundry room, fitness center, and garbage bins are located very conveniently for the residents and none of which are too far away from any given unit. Parking spots are available in these areas as well as sizeable wooden cabinets to store extra… items.

The actual units are where some of the Delmonico Apartments lose their charm. The kitchen in their 2 bedroom/1.5 bath units is very small. The oven is outdated and so small it can't fit a standard baking pan. My unit was so cramped it was impossible to open the oven and the refrigerator at the same time. This seems strange when you look at the granite counter tops that they have. On one end you have a modern touch only to be forced to use completely outdated appliances that hardly have the room to open. Their is plenty of storage space in the kitchen in the forms of cabinets and drawers.

The hall way has a small coat closet and hallway sliding door closet to keep more storage. Overall these areas are small pluses. The master bedroom has direct access to the main part of the bathroom, which has its own toilet, sink, and the only shower/bathtub. The secondary room has access to the .5 portion of the bathroom (toilet and sink) via the hall and a sliding door separates the two partitions of the bathrooms.

The living room is spacious enough for a small family or a pair of adults to share comfortably. Even though it has decent size the way your unit may face your patio/balcony doors may limit layout options for furniture.

The dining area is small and tucked away behind the counter area from the kitchen. I actually enjoy this cozy area to entertain friends coming for a meal as it let me talk to them and cook at the same time.

If the prices were lower, and you could probably say this about the entire bay area, then i would give this complex a 4 star rating. However with some of the dated appliances and cramped cooking space in addition to the sky high rent it is hard to justify doing so.

Having said that - runners rejoice. This complex is in a great area for people who like to have a brisk walk or train for a marathon. Located conveniently close to the stevens creek trail and Cooper Park, it gives you plenty of different routes to run. Read More
