Wonderful Apartments

After selling my home, I found myself apartment living for the first time in over 25 years, and I honestly couldn't have chosen a better place than Vercanta Newport Beach.
The community is absolutely beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, and always clean. You can tell the staff takes great pride in keeping the property looking its best. Whenever I've needed maintenance, the team has responded quickly and resolved the issue right away.
The biggest reason I've had such a positive experience is… Misty, the Property Manager. She is professional, friendly, responsive, and truly cares about the residents and the community. She goes above and beyond, and it shows in every aspect of how the property is managed. She has made my transition from owning a home back to apartment living so much easier.
I highly recommend Vercanta to anyone looking for a beautiful, well managed community with an outstanding management team. Thank you, Misty and the entire Vercanta staff, for making this feel like home!

Lived there a long time ago...yuk...

These units were built years ago as "dorms" for the UCI campus. Of course the managers will never tell you that. That's why the doors open "out" instead of "in" because it's a fire safety thing with schools/public buildings. Paper-thin walls and floors/ceilings. I mean you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing... EVERYTHING! Tons of jets flying over, traffic noise from Mesa drive, not to mention the dogs barking from the neighboring dog kennels in back. Even with all that they charge a… ton of rent, only because of location and location alone. Definitely look elsewhere even though it might cost a little more.

Palm Mesa Apartments

This apartment community has been in the area for a long time. A mature property with an array of beautiful trees and with a garden style. A place you would fee comfortable having your child start out at. This is the first place I moved to when I moved out of my home and I recommend it to anyone I care about. It's located in Newport Beach, which is a step up and a good place to get your roots.

I love the woodsy affect, we are so lucky to have such a quiet environment, in a busy and big city… such as this.

Not recommend

Horrible Place, they increase the rent ($50-$100 average) every time you renew the leasing contract, there are rats in the garages, the gym equipment never works, I have seen neighbors doing barbecues in the hallways (yes in the hallways), people have to fight to use the washing machines and there is not air conditioner in the rooms, I don't recommend this place for some who has kids.

the only positive thing its the location, and that the rent is more affordable at the beginning of your… listing contract

Older but spacious, good value

I've lived in these apartments for two years and I believe I'm getting great value for the price. Management is responsive to maintenance needs and other than being under the John Wayne airport path, it's relatively quiet. Buildings are older but in pretty good condition.
