Grandma's Place

My Grandmother resided here for 2 years and absolutely lived it. She never had any issues with pest. I found by speaking with other residents that the Bed Bug issues were isolated cases, and I'm sure there might have been Bugs in some of the apartments but not hers nor in any of the area that we visited on the property. We did notice a disconnect with previous managers and this may be the reason for the unhappy residents back then, but to date we have gone to the office to assist our Grandmother… with her new contract and found a whole new office staff and they are GREAT!!! You can definitely notice the change around the property. Smiling faces and happier residents is what I see when I visit. Compared to the 2 other Senior properties in Oxnard, Sycamore is the best in my opinion. We see Security at night and the staff always on there toes walking around the property speaking with residents, we never experienced this with the previous manager or staff. I would refer anyone who needs an affordable apartment because in this area you won't find better prices and great service. The staff has recently informed is of an event that they ate putting on for the residents this month! I don't remember having any festivities with the previous manager, so we ate even more excited than before yo know that our Grandmother is in such a caring Community. Keep up the good work Sycamore!!! Oh and to mention, they even put up really pretty Flags! It look so luxurious around there, Grandma keep asking us if she can really afford to live there...haha. Love it!

Stay Away

I have a family friend who lives here. Most of the amenities are not available or do they exist. No pool, internet, no fitness center. Most public rooms for residents are locked or vandalized. No security on property. Bedbug investation, vandalism to most public areas, poor lighting, air conditioning system no working in many areas, police and fire are called almost on a daily basis. Property is not maintained to safe conditions. Majority of residents are not seniors and should not be living… there. High crime and drug use on property. I would not feel safe recommending any seniors living here. Stay away. This place should be torn down.

inept management

this rental property is run by INEPT management and owners alike! while my stay there i experienced management trying to bill me for their own inadequacy. the first bill was for their badly designed fire alarms system, they tried to bill me because the fire alarms sounded on an average of 3 to 4 times every week for many many months. it took an attorney to make them stop doing their scams about that issue alone.
so in retaliation of my fighting their scams they reported a bad credit file on me!
