Place to call home

I had the privilege of residing at the San Pasquel apartment building for several years, and I can wholeheartedly say it was an exceptional living experience. There were several aspects of my time there that truly stood out, making it a place I fondly remember.

First and foremost, the sense of community and the kindness of my neighbors were truly remarkable. From the day I moved in, I was warmly welcomed into a close-knit community of residents who made living at San Pasquel feel like being...
part of a big, caring family. It was comforting to know that I had such wonderful neighbors around who were always ready to lend a helping hand or simply share a friendly chat in the hallway.

One of the standout features of San Pasquel was the exceptional building manager, Josh. He went above and beyond to ensure that the tenants' needs were met and that the building was a safe and pleasant place to live. Josh's dedication to his role was evident in every interaction I had with him.

What truly touched my heart and made my experience at San Pasquel unforgettable was how Josh continued to look after my elderly mother after I left the state. He took it upon himself to ensure her well-being, making sure that any maintenance or repairs needed in her unit were promptly addressed. Josh also took the extra step of personally delivering any packages to her door, sparing her the inconvenience of carrying them herself.

Josh's attentiveness and genuine care for the residents, especially my mother, were nothing short of exceptional. His compassion and dedication to his role made San Pasquel feel like more than just an apartment building; it felt like a place where people truly cared about one another.

Poorly managed

Various management companies recently took over this building over these past few years, and the service has dropped, which should tell you something. This building needs significant repairs. Some of the emergency exits in the buildings have no lights (dark). The pool gate gets jammed all the time, so if there is an emergency - good luck trying to get out since the gate gets jammed, and there are quite a few parking spaces in the garages where the lights are burnt out, and it's an extreme safety... hazard if you were in the garage alone at night in one of these spaces.

The courtyard, the furniture, the planters, and the pool area looks like a dump. There are holes in some of the chairs, and the seat cushions are just old and gross. Instead of replacing the old cut-up furniture, they took the cushions off the chairs to save costs, and now they are considering that as a replacement. The pool is constantly leaking, and they placed a hose to fill it up instead of trying to fix the issue; they tried, but it still did not work. The pool is freezing, so you can't enjoy the pool regardless if it's summer or winter. They say it's set at 70 degrees which is false, and we pay for this. I have to go to the rosebowl and pay to use the pool for lap swimming which is lame since we have one here. They have planters in the courtyard area, but it's basically a giant litter box. We have had quite a few transients sleep in the pool area, but it now seems they don't as much anymore.

People have broken into the parking area; cars are regularly broken, and the garage gate is always broken so anyone can drive into the complex, and your packages get stolen.

Washer dryers in this building are a joke - 6 machines -2 on each floor at $2.00 per load, and constantly breaking down.

When your lease is up, be prepared for your rent to increase to the maximum 10% they are allowed to raise; which all of us tenants have experienced.

No point complaining to the manager, as they are never there; if they are there, you're more of an annoyance. There's always an EXCUSE of why nothing is getting done - transfer of ownership- or that's on the owner's plan, or everything is now going to get better with all the new 'upgrades' they are planning to do. It's complete BS. There's no communication from the manager to tenants except for the occasional notice they place on the doors.

Unresponsive leasing team

I tried reaching out to them multiple times over email and phone. No email response and for when you call, back office picks up the call and says they will notify leasing office to call me and they never call you. This happened for past 2-3 days.
