Responsive Staff; Excellent Location; Beautiful Area
What more can you ask for? I like it here a lot! It is conveniently located with a light rail stop quite literally at the front door. I am able to walk most places. Even Kaiser is building nearby and has a full service outpatient clinic at 5th and J. A full Kaiser Permanente hospital is being built in the rail yards, near the 5th and J streets.
I have a pick of grocery stores and other shops to choose from. They range from inexpensive (Grocery Outlet and the Dollar Store)to expensive (Natural... Foods Coop and Safeway). There is now a nice natural foods store at 9th and R that is owned by Raley's.
We have three farmer's markets nearby as well as numerous restaurants of various prices and quality. Actually, Sacramento has very good food for a City its size.
There are a few small parks nearby, including a dog park at 23rd and S Streets. I like visiting the duck pond at McKinley Park.
The light rail that stops right outside the front door will take you to Broadway Street and within walking distance of Target. Or you can head in the other direction to Watt and I80, and then take a short walk to Walmart.
The building is relatively clean, but yes, it has a few knuckleheads who like to vandalize community property. The staff is on it, though. They are very responsive to complaints and maintenance requests. They are polite. As a matter of fact, I intend to apply to the senior complex that this management company also owns and manages. Most people in the building are nice and friendly.
And I've got a balcony. Having one is now a requirement. I am able to grow a beautiful garden -- flowers and vegetables.
