Beautiful Property.............great manager.........

My opinion of the manager is completely different. When she came to this property
5 years ago, it was run over with drug issues, and many other issues, over occupied, no control whatsoever. There was no respect for the property,
it was a very negative property with many difficult issues. The manager pays attention
to all the children, they all like her so much...........She has brought peace and harmony to a place that once had none. It is now a stable, peaceful place to live. She keeps the...
property looking lovely, clean and the children have a lot of space to play.
It is a very nice place to live. Having the gates locked makes everyone feel much safer.
If people want to have things delivered, they can arrange for such times. We do not
want people coming and going on our property.......It is controlled now and we like it that way.

Diverse inner city apartment Complex

Located in City Heights an inner city community of San Diego. Diversity and low income are the keywords when describing the community and specifically this apartment complex. It is owned by an individual and so there are some pros and cons. The complex is comprised by renters from various ethnic backgrounds like Latinos, Africans, and Southeast Asians. Most apartments are 1bed 1bath with kitchen and small balcony. Spaces ranging from 700sqft to 850sqft. There is a pool, onsite laundry, and one... parking spot per unit and it is gated. The parking lot is accessible only with a remote. It is located on a main street of the community so you can hear loud traffic at all hours of the day and night even though it's a 25mph school zone. It is also on top of a hill so drivers speed up the hill and cars go down at speeds of 45 mph if not higher. There's is usually an accident every other month. There is a bus stop right in front of the complex and another one right across the other side of the street so you can hear the extremely loud noise of the bus driver's speakerphone announcing the stop and the rumbling of the huge bus engine as it accelerates towards the final stretch of the hill as early as 5am and as late as 11pm. The he owner hires professional crews to fix problems or issues that come up. Sometimes it takes a month to get something fixed. In our experience we've been waiting more than a year to get an oven hadle replaced and a bathroom drawer fixed. It's generally clean and peaceful because the manager lives here. Compared to other complexes in the area where police and ethnic drama is common this complex is free of that. Most units are occupied by 4 people but it's relatively quiet and people mind their own business. You get to experience lots of diversity in the community as well. It's close to 5 schools and it has very close freeway access to the 94 and the 805. Most of the tenants mainly speak another language other than English. So you must love diversity when living here.

Beautiful property...Incompetent landlord...Insensitive Owner

The property is beautiful, gated parking, pool inside and very quiet...unfortunately the only thing that ruins this property is the biggest part of all. The landlord is completely incompetent, rude and lashes out in the worst (possibly illegal) way. Recently they changed the locks on both gates to the complex, USPS was unable to gain access and mail for the entire property was not delivered for almost a week. I had to be the one who spoke with the USPS supervisor and made arrangements to get... them access to the property. UPS and FEDEX still can not gain access to the property, landlord responded that she did not know what she could do about that but she was 100% sure that the gates would not be left open at no time (not even during mail delivery hours). When the landlord contacted the property owner (Harris Economus) he responded that he was not responsible for UPS and FEDEX not being able to gain access into his property...nothing was fixed and failed delivery attempts continue. Unfortunately the landlord is incapable of making any decision herself and must pass everything by the owner and he is an ignorant insensitive person. From denying a current LEGAL Disabled person from using the available Disabled parking and commenting "what you want parking by the pool" to acting as if he is doing YOU a favor for giving you 24 hour notice before the water is shut off for days. Last but not least, the landlords way of lashing out...examples of her written notes posted on the bulletin bored "there was a baby diaper left inside the pool....babies are no longer allowed in the pool" "I had to tell your kids to go play inside the house because common areas are not for kids playing...you know who you are" "anyone propping the door open will be fined $100 dollars" "kids playing with balls, wheeled toys must play in the parking lot" and much more tenant attacks in written notes left for all tenants to see. You can not communicate with the landlord because she is very rude and very volatile.
