Elan at River Oaks

Moving to San Jose from Hawaii felt overwhelming, but working with Lance made the entire transition effortless. From the second we stepped onto the property, we were completely blown away by how beautiful Elan is. Navigating parking, finding the leasing office, and getting a tour booked couldn't have been easier.

Lance took us through a few different floor plans and showed us around the amenities, giving us an honest, detailed breakdown of everything the community has to offer. As first-time... renters making a major cross-country move, we naturally had a million questions. Lance went above and beyond for us—answering every inquiry with total honesty, working past regular business hours to accommodate our timeline, and taking the time to genuinely get to know us so he could understand what we were looking for in a home.

WOW, the property is gorgeous. Finding the leasing center, parking, and scheduling a tour were a breeze. We got to view a couple of units and property amenities with our leasing agent, Lance. He gave us the ins-and-outs of the place. He really made Elan feel like home. We were sold within a couple of days. This is by far the noisiest apartment complex I've ever lived in. The noise is constant, and management seems to have little regard for residents' peace and quiet.

There always seems to be some kind of construction or reconstruction going on, with constant hammering, drilling, and banging throughout the day. On top of that, they regularly do "power cleaning" on weekends using extremely loud equipment. When I raised concerns about doing this on a weekend, I was simply told that it's considered... maintenance and that they have no control over when it happens. That response makes little sense, considering they are the ones managing the property.

Another ongoing issue is the trash. Even though residents pay for trash service, garbage is constantly left outside the garages and often sits there for most of the week before being picked up. It creates an unpleasant environment and is not what you would expect from a property that charges for this service.

Overall, it feels like management is completely disconnected from the people who actually live here. Between the nonstop noise, the poor handling of trash, and the lack of consideration for residents, I would not recommend living here if you value a clean and peaceful place to call home. Read More

I just renewed after living here for 3 years. I love everything about this community. The nature walks we take are so peaceful and gorgeous. Every part of Elan is top notch. The people working here are so friendly and helpful. Today I am thanking Jessica, a Resident Advisor for promptly and efficiently handling my request. The people in the morning cleaning the shared spaces are also very sweet and always have a smile to share.
