Tanglewood Apartments

May the renter beware!! This apartment complex is infested with cockroaches. My fiancee and I had to throw away $5,000+ worth of personal property thanks to the inaction of management to resolve this issue in a timely manner. When we first notified management, the response was a pamphlet on how to keep clutter out of the home; we are not dirty renters nor did we have lots of clutter. It took a second email with photos a few months later to get a person out to spray. This did little to solve the… issue as they were sewer cockroaches and came in through the plumbing. It took us twice as long to move out because we had to check EVERYTHING we had for eggs and larvae. In addition, the washer smelled as if the water was coming from the sewer and the smell tainted all of our clothes when washed. Not even copious amounts of dryer sheets fixed the smell.

The cockroaches were also found all around the complex in the block where our unit was. There were rat sightings (no photos because they were so fast).

The sound of big rig trucks could be heard at all hours as well as members of the transient community digging through the trash, which was not gated or chained up.

Please note that if you have issues walking up steps or have a physical disability that makes climbing stairs impossible, there are no elevators to the second floor units.

The apartment is located near Willow Glen, a charming community, but that is as far as its positive attributes go.

I am deeply saddened to have to write this review. I wanted my fiancee and I to love our first place together but I feel the need to warn potential renters against this complex and management. Read More
