Pacific Plaza

I spent 2-plus years living here, had to move out abruptly this summer because I could no longer take sweltering through a lengthy heat wave which has become the norm in recent years. My problems with the bldg were:
(1) NO A/C: the windows do not accommodate window units, and are too tall to effectively use floor units (the exhaust hose panel on those units does not fit);
(2) ELEVATORS ARE AWFUL: there are only 2 small, old elevators to service 16 floors, the north unit is CONSTANTLY out of… service (I was personally in one when it broke down on 3 occasions in less than a year), sounds like a death trap when running, and takes a LONG time to repair every time it's out;
(3) Management: the current on-site manager is a cold, homorless person who does not respond to inquiries, bloodlessly executing her corporate overlord's dictates; communication re the bldg's frequent issues is nonexistent, and nothing is done about the constant, illegal renting of rooms to AirBNB guests;
(4) Laundry: old dank room in the basement garage, prices on all machines were jacked up a buck last year with zero notice to residents;
(5) Noise: the noise is CONSTANT at night, from people on the streets, the nearby highways, and AirBNB guests;
(6) Plumbing: hot water is inconsistent, and frequently shut down for indeterminate issues;
These are only a handful of the issues that ultimately made this location unlivable for me. Maintenance is excellent, and quick to respond to the FREQUENT things that will need to be repaired. The staff apart from the manager do their best to keep things running, but are essentially rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
