The Bungalows at Ahwanee

My partner and I just finished moving out of this place about a month ago & I’m finally writing this comment since we’ve finally received our security deposit back.

Moving in was pretty simple, someone else gave us our keys since Ada (the property manager) was unavailable. Ada wasn’t the friendliest but answered my questions in a some what timely manner.

This complex is quiet & all neighbors are nice & keep to themselves. You’ll definitely see a lot of kids running around the complex & BBQ’s… every weekend. Nice family vibes.

These units are more affordable but are older (you get what you pay for). I believe still pretty pricey for what you get though. Getting maintenance done was fairly simple but the response time was way too long. We had submitted a maintenance request about not having hot water (went a week trying to shower at different hours with no success for hot water) and it was not addressed, it wasn’t even acknowledged until others finally started complaining.

Same goes for our stove, I was only cooking with two functioning burners, waited months with a maintenance request in & they finally fixed it the week we moved out.

Also, they will charge you $250 for a “cleaning fee” out of your deposit. $250 for cleaning a 500 sq ft apt is ridiculous. 6 months into living there I rented a carpet cleaner for $30 from Home Depot to clean the only carpet in the bedroom, they charged an extra $40 for “carpet cleaning.” We left it cleaner than we received that apartment & even left our microwave we purchase, since our new place already had one!
