Good place to live

I have been a tenant at Vida Elegante for almost 4 years. It is in a great location and a good place to live. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Anytime i have submitted a maintenance request i always have received a prompt response. Yazmine is a great property manager who is easy to get in touch and work with.

Terrible Experience

I could not WAIT to move out of this place. The layout of the units are terrible, as the restrooms are situated in the center with no windows, creating poor ventilation. Second, you can hear your neighbors from every direction. Through the walls, ceiling, from the courtyard. Third, the building itself is just old, thus requiring constant work and plumbing, meaning lots of noise all the time with no notice, and constant water shut offs. Fourth, the management. It’s very apparent that they do not… care about their tenants and it’s reflected in the quality of life you experience here. There’s so many better options in the South Bay and it’s just not worth it.

We were sorry to hear that this resident had such a poor experience, but her review doesn't tell the whole story. Vida Elegante is a well-maintained, well-priced complex in which we strive to address issues as they occur. While the former resident… is correct that the restrooms don't have windows, the built-in fans offer ample ventilation when used correctly. We strive to address plumbing issues quickly, and have implemented a system that will enable us to shut off water in zones, which should reduce the number of water shutoffs to any given unit. Finally, the assertion that management doesn't care about residents is simply inaccurate. Vida Elegante's management is committed and caring, and works daily with residents to resolve or head off issues. Some of our residents have been onsite more than 20 years, which suggests this former tenant's impressions aren't universal. We hope that she was happier in her next home.

Wouldn’t recommend

The water is shut off monthly for repairs, there is constantly loud construction (usually with no advanced notice— currently there is a LOUD 6 week project M-F so this place is not ideal if you work from home), the pool is consistently visibly yellow from all of the kids in the building, and the laundry machines are unreliable and eat your money.

The only upside is the location but don’t think it’s worth it.

We appreciate hearing from our tenants, but some of the comments are untrue. We have pool service multiple times per week, and the pool and spa are decidedly *not* yellow. They're sparkling blue just as our photos show. In the unusual cases where… washers or dryers fail, tenants only need to contact the manager, who promptly refunds their money. Machines are rarely out of service for more than a few days before being repaired or replaced. The owners are committed to keeping the building in top shape, so there is periodic construction as vacant units are modernized or safety measures are underway. The upside is that the building is in extremely good shape, and new rentals are freshly renovated. This tenant doesn't mention is that management is friendly and competent, the complex is exceedingly well-maintained, and both management and maintenance staff live on site. We think Vida Elegante is an exceptional property for an affordable price, and wish this person well in their next living situation.

Avoid -- Water never works

Avoid living here. The property has turned the water off every month since I've lived here. Their water system is terrible and outdated. Just visit the garage and you will see tons of leaks. The pool is also closed most of the time because of maintenance. The laundry room typically has 2-3 working washers at a time, but those are typically down as well.

While we appreciate all tenant reviews, some of the points here simply aren't true. The pool is open year-round, as is the spa. Maintenance closures are rare and typically only last a day. All the washers and dryers work and are used throughout… the day, week and year. If any fail, they're quickly replaced or repaired. We do need to shut off water periodically to repair leaks, but have instituted a system where only part of the complex, not all of it, needs to be closed off at once. Management always provides advance notice of shutoff unless they're for emergency repairs. We have many happy tenants, though they tend not to write comments, and hope this tenant is happier in their next home.

Great place to live

We’ve been living here for the past 14 years . We love here , the new management are great and very helpful . The building is nice and clean. We have a good pool and a new gym. The neighborhood is great . We are close to victor school, restaurants ,supermarket and more. Great place to live !
