It's located just a 5-minute drive (or 20-minute walk) from Aspen Mountain, and a 10-minute drive from Wheeler Opera House and the Aspen Art Museum. The John Denver Sanctuary is also a 10-minute drive away, and Hunter Creek Trail is accessible within a 15-minute drive. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk Mountain are both a 15-minute drive, while the Maroon Bells Scenic Area is 25 minutes away. Snowmass Mountain is a 30-minute drive, and Independence Pass is 45 minutes away.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the condo and within any common areas. Parties or large gatherings are not allowed. Please be considerate of neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during nighttime hours. Check-in is available anytime after 4:00 PM, and check-out is on or before 10:00 AM. Aspen is home to black bears; guests should be aware of bear behavior and secure all trash in the garage, ensuring the garage door is closed. Keep doors and windows closed when not in use to prevent bears from entering. Bear Boards are installed on the deck for bear deterrence; guests should only utilize the deck in the front of the house and avoid the sides of the deck towards the back of the house. If a bear is encountered, remain calm, avoid sudden movements, back away slowly without turning your back, do not run or climb trees, and make noise to alert the bear. Report any bear sightings promptly. Getting around Aspen is easy by utilizing RFTA (Roaring Fork Transportation Authority), with a bus stop located just two doors down from the property.
This property utilizes Bear Boards, sometimes called “Unwelcome Mats”, which are large plywood boards with screws/nails facing upwards, standard in Aspen, to deter bears from trying to enter a home. The function is not to injure the bears but makes the surface uncomfortable to stand on and encourages the bear to move on. The Bear Boards on this property are on the deck, on both sides of the house, located on the second floor as the deck wraps around the house towards the back of house. If a guest were to exit the house through either sliding door, the Bear Boards are towards the mountain side of the house, away from the front of the house.
