In the summer, the ski area base transforms into a hub for dining, bars, hiking, biking, and family activities. Burgess Creek flows through the base area, offering a refreshing spot to relax. The Burgess Creek trail and Mt. Werner trail provide paved paths leading to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River, and the Yampa River Core Trail, with downtown Steamboat just 3 miles away.
