Northstar is conveniently located in the mountain village area, less than a mile from the base of the ski area. Walk less than a quarter mile to the free bus that serves the ski resort and downtown. The Mountain Sneak trail, which leads directly to the gondola, shops, bars, and groceries, begins a short distance from the building. Emerald Mountain and Fish Creek Falls offer hiking and snowshoeing trails within 6.5 miles, and the Strawberry Hot Springs are a short distance away.
