Hopefully they'll get better in time.
Units are aesthetic. Their infrastructure with everything needs work, though. Ventilation is questionable. Windows don't open. Bathroom vents aren't adequate enough to get rid of the moisture so you know with time what that'll mean. I can smell what others have going on in their units through the vents in the bathrooms. Smoke, take out, other questionable scents. The stoves don't have a range hood so have fun frying chicken or making seafood. You and your unit will smell like it for days. They... have shared laundry but as of now, they are barely in good working order. They have two "trash" bins for use in the laundry area on each floor. If they're full? They will hold you responsible to take your trash outside in their dumpsters. As well as recycling. You have to breakdown your boxes and also take them outside because they don't have proper receptacles on each floor for both recycling AND trash. It was something I questioned them on before I signed the lease, since they looked to be recycling bins and I was confused on if two bins (they have the recycling logo them, but I guess they use it for trash) were supposed to maintain everyone, to which I was told, "just leave it in the area and it'll be taken care of." Suddenly, the tenant must take care of their trash, since it's not maintenance's responsibility? Maybe that's why trash removal is "included" in the rent? You're paying for them to take it off the premises and not from the floors? Hopefully that'll be cleared up eventually. They will hold you to a standard that they do not hold themselves to, and you will have to be okay with that. Be very careful on making sure you get full clarity before you sign the papers because they will tell you anything. Any discrepancies? Good luck. Could it be much worse? Yes. Do I think they're worth the price tag with their ever changing rules, regulations, communication, and lack of proper upkeep/ability to actually use the facilities you are paying for at hand? Probably not. There's also no dishwasher, if you care about that. Parking is off street and a free-for-all. They have enough time to complain, rally up more tenants and keep pushing new rules to their current ones. They don't have enough time to do their actual job and deliver what they promised you, though. Survivable for a time but doesn't look like it will be worth it long term. Also, their listed price is more of a deal, as of now. After your year is up, expect a hefty increase to the actual price.
