Fremont is a city located 35 miles southeast of Toledo and roughly an hour and a half west of Cleveland along the Sandusky River, which empties into its namesake lake situated a few miles north of the city. Apart from the adventurous outdoor recreation offered by the river and nearby lake, Fremont is a town filled with industry and excitement. The historic downtown district is centered along Front Street and is lined with antique stores, specialty shops, local restaurants, cafes, and more. Outside of the downtown area, places like the Sandusky County Historical Society and the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums provide family-friendly fun. The industrial area of Fremont is placed in the northeastern corner of town and houses several manufacturing plants and warehouses. The rest of Fremont is made up of peaceful suburban neighborhoods with a variety of rentals.
