Situated along Interstate 5, Grants Pass is a densely populated city roughly 30 miles west of Medford and two hours south of Eugene. The city is known for its gorgeous weather and for being the state's whitewater rafting capital thanks to the Rogue River. Apart from the great outdoors, residents of Grants Pass head to the bustling downtown area for entertainment at places like the Grants Pass Museum of Art and the Schmidt House Museum and Library, as well as premier shopping and dining choices. For big-box stores and nationally recognized businesses, head to the large plazas nestled off Highway 199. Other parts of the scenic city are made up of community parks and trails, including Riverside Park and the nearby Rogue River Greenway. Additional outdoor recreation is available outside of town at the large nature preserves surrounding Grants Pass.
