Old and expensive

Honestly, living here has been pretty disappointing. The rent prices are super high compared to other places nearby, which makes it hard to justify. The maintenance and management aren't great either – things break and take forever to get fixed. There are hardly any amenities; no pool, gym, or even proper laundry facilities, which is a bummer.

The noise is also a big issue, with constant traffic from the nearby busy roads making it hard to relax. Safety is a concern too, with crime rates… feeling higher and not enough surveillance around. Plus, the environment isn't great, with pollution, occasional flooding, and pests being a regular problem. Overall, not worth the high rent for what you get.

Mallard cover apartments

Cockroach problems; infestation.

There seems to be a large colony living in the walls. They move in and out through the electrical panel and the electric outlets. I can even be taking a shower and tiny baby cockroaches come into the bathroom crawling on the walls. I have woken up from them crawling on me. I keep no food or garbage in the house. I usually eat out, and my refrigerator is often empty. They also live in the microwave oven. And, anywhere else there seems to be space in an electric… unit. I have even found them in my empty refrigerator a few times.

Other than that, great place! I only stayed due to location. Maybe you will be lucky and not have such a problem?

Mallard Cove

Very nice atmosphere, clean well kept grounds. Swimming pool, small weight room. Bus stop right out side of complex. 1 to 2 bedrooms, close to beach,stores, coast guard and naval base. Friendly staff.
Quiet neighborhood.

Mallard Cove Apartments

2 bedroom, 2 bath, nice layout, working appliances, financially difficult due to being active duty military with a 10 month old daughter and stay at home wife. Dedicated and helpful apartment managers, first apartment I've ever rented, other than noisy upstairs neighbors everything seems good.
