The Cove at Atlantic Beach

I stayed here in 2003-2004 and then again in 2008-2010. I loved it here! They are modern, very close to the naval base and the beach. Beautiful apartments and well kept.

The office staff are very professional. Maintenance is addressed quickly usually the same day or next day. It is a great place to live, especially for military members, since the base is close by. Apt. 408.

This place is easy to live. Nothing is super special about it but the location is GREAT! They just put grills out for residents to use and the dog park is serviceable. All of our maintenance requests have been handled quickly and while it is annoying to not have an option to do valet trash or not, it is super convienient and saves a lot of trouble. Staff has always been friendly and things are only improving here!

The thing that stands out about these apartments is the friendly leasing and maintenance staff. They are quick to make repairs and remedy any issues the tenants may have.
The apartments are about a ten minute drive or bike ride from the beach and there are restaurants, a grocery store, and other stores (Dollar Tree Dollar General) within walking distance.
The units are spacious and they have fireplaces. Units come with washers and dryers.
There is a beautiful and well-maintained pool area... , volleyball court, and cookout area. For your pets there is a fenced in BARK PARK. The property is well-maintained due to a landscaping crew that comes in every week.

We've lived her for a little over a year and renewed our lease for 15 months recently.

Many of the apartments have recently been/are being renovated. We got a renovated one and love the enclosed sunroom and tile floors. The kitchen is large with lots of dish storage and a decent pantry. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom in the master bedroom has a full bathtub (that's extremely rare in my experience). The apartments themselves are also quieter than most I've lived in and, being a... military family, that's saying something.

We love the location; close to the base, less populated beaches and Atlantic Beach Town Center. Right down the street from the Jacksonville Beach Amphitheater, beach restaurants and bars, etc. The complex is set back far enough from the road so there is little ambient road noise.

There are a lot of military and families here. Everybody is nice, friendly. Neighbors will say hello and introduce themselves.

The pool is nice, though often very busy in the evenings and weekends. There is a playground for kids and a dog park. Maintenance is usually prompt and courteous.

There are a few negatives, mostly just the nature of living in close proximity to others. The "no items in the breezeway" rule is not enforced so the more inconsiderate neighbors may leave their belongings in the public space. Most people clean up after their animals but sometimes there's a stray pile. Don't let the gate be a selling point for you as it's often broken and, when it's not, is more of a hassle than it's worth.

All in all, we really love it here. It's a quiet, family friendly community with kind neighbors and decent apartment sizes. We're centrally located to pretty much anything you could want but not so close that it's a high traffic area. We may move when this lease is up but just to try and get into a three bedroom. Read More
