Sun Bay Apartments

I've lived at Sun Bay for about 3 years and while the buildings are a little dated, between the office and maintenance they do a fantastic job keeping up with things. The property also throws a lot of resident centered events which is pretty awesome and makes you feel at home. The office staff has always been extremely warm and welcoming and maintenance is always extremely pleasant kind. I would definitely recommend Sun Bay for the money and community.

I’ve enjoyed living at Sun Bay Apartments. The location is really convenient to UF/Shands and the apartments are spacious for the price. The property is older, but the staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. Overall, it’s been a comfortable and affordable place to live in Gainesville!

Sun Bay has been a great fit for me. I like that it has more character and green space than a lot of the other apartment complexes in Gainesville. The apartments are roomy, parking is easy, and the staff has always been responsive when I’ve needed help. It’s not a luxury complex, but it feels comfortable, affordable, and convenient to campus.

I lived at Sun Bay Apartments for over a year, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The location is super convenient—I could walk to the grocery store and bike to campus in no time. My apartment itself was cozy, and for the price, you really get a lot of space. It felt like a real home, not just another rental. Yes, the complex is older but if you’re looking for a comfortable and affordable place in Gainesville, Sun Bay is definitely worth checking out!

Here, for free, you get to hear and smell other people’s nonsense 24/7 because it’s so poorly insulated. You might as well get roommates and live somewhere nicer if you like dealing with that. You’ll at least have people who are helping you pay rent while dealing with the noises and smells all day.
