Terrible. An unprofessional, dirty mess.
I lived here for a year and it is easily the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed in. Throughout my time here, I experienced some of the most lazy maintenance and upkeep practices I have ever seen. My room had a dryer with a ducttaped dryer hose, which is a serious fire hazard. When I pointed out a smoky smell from the dryer on multiple occasions, the maintenance guy found one piece of lint and decided to blame me. It took me opening the dryer myself to figure out what had really been done... .
The apartments are disgustingly dark and humid, with very little natural light and no overhead light in the living room. Thus, this is a roach's paradise, and the pest control, just as lazy as maintenance, would randomly stop coming until I would have to pester them with maintenance requests... and this is with continued serious roach problems and promised weekly pest control that I pay for.
My apartment quite literally flooded and was uninhabitable for several hours one day and I received zero apology / was essentially blamed for not staying in an uninhabitable apartment and getting a hotel that night. I was not the cause of the flood and in fact had pointed out the crack in my toilet that allowed this to happen a couple days prior, to no avail.
The place is a ghost town in terms of support over weekends. Some weekends, loud beeping sounds came from the lobby every few seconds, making it hard to sleep. There were multiple fire alarms, including one that came from a roach quite literally entering and damaging my smoke detector, which I myself replaced since nobody was around to help. The neighbors are loud, annoying, and let their children dangerously run around in the parking lot. The pool is often very disgusting, and the fitness room has been closed for the vast majority of my lease.
So here I am, moving out next week. I don't think I've ever been so excited to move. Good riddance, Avia.
